Robert West is the BNP candidate for Norwich North. The by-election is on 23 July.
I am an agnostic. I really don't know about religious faith, despite having a Roman Catholic upbringing, and so I am not able to comment on these religious matters.
But I have friends who are lifetime committed Christians, and I turned to them for advice on this theological "basis" for racism that the BNP's "Reverend" Robert West promotes.
My schoolday's friend Christine Chan, oh dear, another miscegenator, wrote to me:
"I had a look at Genesis Chapter 11 verses 1-9, which gives the Biblical account of the Tower of Babel, and it has been misrepresented by these people, as usual. I will write it out for you to see.
Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly. They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."
But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.
And the LORD said, "Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech."
So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.
Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth;and from there the LORD scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth." (Gen. 11:1-9; New King James Bible).
My friend advised me:
"This has nothing to do with racism. The activity of the people was idolatrous, i.e. self-glorifying instead of God glorifying, God decided to confuse their language, to make it impossible for them to cooperate in this way. This was basically the beginning of the Nations. If you think about it, it would be quite feasible for God to make it impossible for people to reproduce across racial or national lines. But He does not restrict our freedom in that way. God is love. He loves Man and His Creation.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 )
"He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him." ( 1 John 2:8,9 )
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." ( 1 John 4:7,8).
My friend has cut to the chase.
Where is the God of Love in the doctrine of the "Reverend" Robert West?
Why does he harp on hatred and division between peoples?
The answer is obvious. He is BNP. A prophet of doom from the party of hatred and division.
These people have no place in Norfolk.
Kick them out.
well said!!
